CHAMBER ANNOUNCES CRUISE NIGHTS 2010

The Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that summer fun in Metuchen is about to begin. As convertible tops come down, downtown Metuchen will heat up, with Cruise Nights 2010! Shows are scheduled for the first Wednesdays of the summer months (May – September), with rain dates scheduled for second Wednesdays. Don’t miss our first show, scheduled for May 5th! Each show will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Stroll Take your sweetheart and kids for a stroll on the lovely streets of downtown Metuchen. Check out the classic cruisers and remember days gone by. During each event, there are 40 to 50 real beauties lining the streets. Ben Deutschman, a local resident and President of The NY/NJ Slant-Six Club of America, says, “I am proud to have brought the idea of this ‘Cruise Night’ to my hometown and to be a part of this great family oriented downtown event.” Poll Cast a vote for your favorite car at the show! Trophies and/or prizes for the shows are being sponsored by: Black Belt Institute, Antonio’s Brick Oven Pizza, St. Moritz Security Services, Inc., and Express Automotive. Rock & Roll Groove to your favorite 50s, 60s and 70s tunes. A Primetime Entertainment DJ will spin all the hits. ST. JOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL, as a member of the Metuchen community, wants everyone in Central New Jersey to help celebrate Metuchen and cruise nights! Informational material about St. Joseph High School will be available. CHICK-FIL-A of Menlo Park Mall will have appearances by their friendly cow handing out samples or coupons or dancing with passersby.
